Coron Town Proper is a town on Busuanga Island with the famous Coron Island off its coast. The area is small but full of fun island hopping tours and adorable restaurants everywhere you look!
Explore the Town!
Just wandering the streets is the perfect way to explore the Town Proper. You are bound to find some activity or restaurant that piques your interest but I will share some of my favorite spots below!
Hippie House – This restaurant is a bit of a trek from town but it is adorable. With an interior lined with fabrics, pillows, and beads, the vibes are immaculate!
Julie’s Bakeshop – You might not recognize any of the items here but just point and anything will be good and cheap. If something is purple it is Ube flavored and you KNOW that’ll be good!

Khadoi’s – Perfect for trying a classic Filipino breakfast. Their Danggit and Chicken Tocino are some classic must-tries!
Bam Bar – Head here for some chill drinks and live music! There’s a large open area in the back with lights that’s perfect for a fun night out.
Mount Tapyas – Mount Tapyas is a hike up to the Mount Tapyas viewpoint where you can see the entire city and the giant Coron Sign. Tiring but beautiful!

Go Island Hopping!
There are endless options for Island Hopping Tours and they are all amazing! I recommend just booking through your hostel or hotel as they will arrange transportation to the port but you can also book through various tour companies located around the town. Below are some iconic sites that the tours bring you to:
Kayangan Lake, Barracuda Lake, and Twin Lagoon are the main sites of Coron Island. Kayangan has a gorgeous viewpoint to enjoy on your short trek to the lake. Barracuda is a great dive location because the water temperature heats up as you go deeper and Twin Lagoon is simply stunning. All three are perfect for floating and enjoying the turquoise waters of the Philippines.

Malwawey Coral Garden – This is a great spot for snorkeling and seeing the unique fish of the area.
Coron Wrecks – This is less of a specific spot and more of an activity to try. There are various World War II sunken wrecks around Coron that you are able to book a scuba dive tour of!
The tour we did was called the Super Ultimate Tour with Millennial Island Travelmate. Message them HERE or book in person when you arrive in Coron!
Get Out of Town!
Inland Busuanga Island can also be incredibly fun to explore if you have some extra time! Rent a motor bike or take a tuk tuk out of town to check out various sites and beaches!
Manquinit Hot Spring – Head east from town to relax in a natural Hot Spring for 500 pesos. The road out there is a bit bumpy so be careful if you are on a motor bike.
Cabo Beach – This beach is not as well-known so is often fairly empty. There are wooden cabanas to lounge in and spots to buy some snacks or beer!

Concepcion Falls – Head the opposite direction from town (Northwest) towards Busuanga and you will come to Concepcion Falls. I don’t recommend traveling all that way just for the waterfall but if you are on your way to Busuanga, it is a perfect little road-side stop!
